We could say that for 4 days Roses transforms and stops its daily routine to become pure party and fun.

THE NIGHT OF SAN JUAN

San Juan serves as a prelude to summer and is celebrated on June 23. We could say that it is the most magical night of the year, for something they call it the night of the witches, right?

Roses lives Sant Juan like no other.

People pile up on the street about 10 pm waiting for the 3 notices that start the fireworks show.

At that moment, all Roses piled on the beach and the Paseo Marítimo looks at the sky amazed by the beauty of the fireworks that leave the same breakwater.

Finally the verbena on the beach.

FESTIVAL ROSES 2020

It is celebrated in halves of August without a fixed day. Although the holiday is August 15.

According to Christian tradition, the Virgen del Carmen is the protector of sailors, so in her honor a procession of boats is celebrated at the end of this party.

La Ruta de las Tapas 2020

The Route of the Tapas has become a classic and this year there is a fifth edition celebrated between March 20 and 29.

This event consists of a kind of contest where a series of restaurants and bars that offer an exclusive cover for the event is valued.

In the end, the best of the tapas will be assessed.

The cover consists of a small dish designed by the restaurant itself next to a glass of wine (or water) chosen by them. Each cover costs 3€.

It is an event that certainly lives. It has been achieved that the whole town travels the restaurants in search of the best cover.

Which will win this year? Last year they won Salmarina and Gozos Mundanos.

Roses Festivalet

It is a small cultural, musical and gastronomic event that is celebrated on the seafront in Roses.

World Sounds Festival in Roses

Roses becomes one of the best places to enjoy good music in the country during the weekends of July.

The festival is celebrated in the Ciutadella, a magical place for music and that can bring together more than 3,000 people.

Singers like Tom Jones, Loquillo or Luz Casal have passed through it.

In addition to music, you can enjoy wine pairing from the DO Empordà Wine Route.

The Rose Fair

This event takes place at the beginning of June, on the main promenade of Roses, on Pi i Sunyer street. In it different businesses put a decorative blanket with different drawings formed by Roses.

And in the Plaza de Catalunya you will find different stalls with handmade products.

As you can see in Roses you can not get bored especially in summer. When it is full of people and it seems that every night the walk to Santa Margarita is a big party.
